Accessibility Statement

Our goal

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, so that people using a keyboard, a screen reader or magnification can find and claim businesses here.

What we have done

• Every page can be operated with the keyboard alone, the focus indicator is always visible, and the first focusable item is a “skip to main content” link.
• Body text is 18px and is not reduced on phones. Text and background contrast follows the AA thresholds.
• Every form field has a real label, and error messages appear next to the field rather than relying on colour alone.
• The carousel on the home page has a pause button that works with the keyboard.
• We do not use accessibility overlay widgets. They do not make a site compliant; we build accessibility into the pages themselves.

What we are still working on

• Alt text for photos uploaded by businesses is written by the business; we are improving the guidance we give them.
• The English pages are written alongside the Chinese ones and some wording is still being polished.
